Organic
Fertilization - Our lawn care services are
specifically designed to encourage the plant/soil relationship
by adding and stimulating microbial life, adding organic
matter and assisting the soil in the production of natural
nutrients. ArborCare
products function as a complete program throughout the entire
plant life cycle. Bio-stimulants, high quality organic
fertilizer, and several other organic materials such as humic
acid, will all work to create a more favorable environment for
your turf and other plants.
Pest
& Disease Control - Pest & disease
control can be an important aspect of proper lawn care.
Where control measures are necessary, we will discuss all
available options. It may not be necessary to apply any
chemical products at all. We may be able to provide
organic, biological, or cultural controls that will correct
the problem while maintaining environmental safety.
Weed
Control - Turf can be invaded by many types of
weeds. Weeds are simply plants that are thriving within
your existing turf due to poor turf condition. Weeds can
be kept in small numbers using cultural control methods such
as proper watering, proper mowing, and proper fertilization.
Our natural products will correct deficiencies in the soil
beneath your lawn and help to reduce the weed population
without the use of harsh chemical herbicides. We will
assess your existing turf, and recommend a course of action
that best suits your needs.
Core
Aeration - Aeration is the removal of small cores of soil
to allow air, moisture and fertilizer down to the root zone. A
core aerifier will pull one to two inch plugs of soil from the
ground. These plugs are deposited on the soil’s surface
where they will break down. Soil surrounding the plugged holes
and the soil deposited on top will collapse and fill in. It
doesn’t work to use aerifying equipment that simply punches
a hole in the soil. While a hole may be created, the
“punched” soil merely compacts the soil surrounding the
hole.
Soil
Testing - One of the simplest and
environmentally friendly ways to maintain a healthy lawn is to
control the ph level of your soil. We will take several
small samples from your lawn, provide you with test results,
and recommend soil correction as needed.
Over-Seeding
- Keeping your turf thick and healthy is your best natural
source of weed control. Over-seeding will fill in thin
spots which will leave little physical space for weeds to
grow. We recommended fall over-seeding performed in
conjunction with core aeration to further maintain the
thickest, healthiest lawn possible. |
